Installed the subtle 1" lift front and rear as well as a 1/4 inch saggy but spacer in the rear. Here are pics of what it looks like on a sedan. By the way, subtle has great customer service and incredible fast shipping if any of you guys are interested in picking up any of their products. I need to move down to 16" wheels and a 215/60/16 from the current 225/45/17's.

Bought the Subtle Solutions 1" Lift kit for my 97 Impreza L - I run a 214 customer Back Roads Paper Route In PA ....Didn't want to be a total snow plow this winter...also wanted to get my saggy old rear end off the ground ...first subaru I've owned and lookin forward to some good times.... I ordered the 1" Subtle Solutions kit and Three sets of 1/4" saggy butt spacers to stack on the rear spacer because i wanted to get my saggy rear as high as the front....did some research:Bananacomputer:.....Ordered up the H&R rear camber bolts (3 degrees +/-) .....and went on over to my local FASTENAL and ordered up 6 longer bolts for the rear aluminum spacers to compensate for the 3 saggy butt spacers I was stackin on top.......once all the components were on hand....I went in for the kill! (sorry for blotches on camera lens ....haha)

Installed a 1" lift kit before Xmas, and so far so good. It was a pretty base install, the only headsup I can give is making sure you have an extra body during reinstall to line up all the strut attachment bolt holes/bolts...funny that I had a hard time getting a volunteer to help throw this on in my Driveway in early December?(temps were a balmy -15C) Anyways after installing, getting a wheel alignment, the Mrs. and I promptly gave it a 4000km shakedown trip back East and back...that and a half dozen trips out to the ski hill as well and all is good so far...thanks and Happy New Year

pps-my stock size Hakka's now look a tad wee, 4 more months to save up for fresh(larger dia) summers!

Фотоотчёт по установке проставок на impreza 08MY :)

Процедура заняла примерно 9 часов, с перерывом на обед.
Задействовано 2 неглупых взрослых человека, с ростущими откуда надо руками, но оччень не часто чинящих железо собственноручно :)
Из этих 9 часов час- полтора ушло на доработку покупного съёмника для пружин и как выячнилось ненужную стяжку пружины переднего амортизатора (об этом позже).
Если пришлось бы повторить, сделали бы раза в 1,5 - 2 быстрее.
Яма при установке НЕ понадобилась.

Что сделано:
установлены все 4 проставки.
Что пока не сделано:
- не перетянуты гайки на всех сайлентблоках, т.к. добраться до всех них не так просто. Решено предоставить эту работу работникам СТО;
- не установлен задний толстый стабилизатор. Отложено до перетяжки сайлентблоков, чтобы не мешался. Будет установлен самостоятельно минут за 30.

Вообще до установки рекомендую почитать сервис мануал, разделы про демонтаж и установку стоек амортизаторов, для общего развития. Электронная версия кажется есть здесь на сайте в соответствующем разделе. Есть и просто в интернете, файл называется 08MY_Impreza_SM, весит около 100 МБ.

Итак по порядку.
1. ЗАДНЯЯ СТОЙКА.
В сервис мануале рекомендуют для съёма задней стойки снять заднюю поперечную тягу. Было решено не связываться с её съёмом, т.к. это лишний разбор сайлентблоков, и лезть в заводскую сборку не охота.
Чтобы снять стойку без съёма тяги, надо сжать пружину съёмником.
Как и говорил Мед Макс, задняя подвеска имеет не очень большой запас хода вниз. Поэтому после стягивания пружины один давит ногой на тормозной диск вниз (не хило так), другой вытаскивает стойку.
Не забываем подложить брусок под машину или тяги, чтобы при этих манипуляциях в случае срыва домкрата машина не прилетела вам на какую-нибудь конечность.
Дальше выпрессовываем родные болты в верхней части стойки для установки более длинных (под проставку).
Опасения что придётся разбирать весь амортизатор не подтвердились.
Болты запрессованы на горячую, на них имеются шлицы.
Возможно их можно выбить кувалдометром, но есть риск погнуть что-нибудь.
Поэтому наложили вокруг головки болта железяку типа гайки (можно подобрать или вырезать из трубы кольцо подходящего диаметра, чтобы при выдавливании головка болта уходила в это кольцо).

Зажали это дело в тиски, слегка нагрели область вокруг болта горелкой (этого можно и не делать) и даванули тисками.

Болт вываливается.
Новые болты влазят без проблем.
Прикручиваем проставку (она имеет резьбу внутри под новые болты).

Проставки я покрасил в цвет кузова. Мотивация - чтобы не выделялись как инородный предмет и не вызывали интерес при техосмотре + чтобы алюмний не вступал в контакт с прилегающим кузовом.
Опасения оказались напрасными - задние проставки не видно вообще, передние только сверху - под капотом и то немного.
Если кто захочет красить - сначала красим грунтовкой т.к. без неё краска на алюминии почти не держится.
Длинна тормозных шлангов после установки выглядит так:

На фото шланг в состоянии полностью ВЫВЕШЕННОГО колеса, то есть ниже не пойдёт.
Без натяга, хотя и шланг вытянут почти полностью. Считаю что получившаяся длина не критична. На фото выглядит как-то плоско, излишне прямо.

2. ПЕРЕДНЯЯ СТОЙКА.
Снимаем по сервис мануалу, отметив положение регулировочного болта развала.
При съёме и установке сжимать пружины не пришлось. Просто надо активнее поворачивать поворотный кулак. Аккуратнее с пыльником привода - не порвите его случайно нижней частью амортизатора при установке. Лучше положить сверху него плотный картон или тонкую ДВП.

Демонтировать верхние болты немного сложнее т.к. эта стойка не лезет в тиски. Зажали струбциной и давили газовым ключём.
В принципе один из нас (мой отец) силён в руках, так что может выдавить одним газовым ключём без нагрева :) Со стороны головки болта давим естественно на трубку (гайку, кольцо).

Ну вот и всё ребята :)

РЕЗУЛЬТАТ: визуально машина стала выше, НО НЕ НАМНОГО, в глаза не бросается, это всего 2,5 см.
То что сидишь немного выше - сбъективно ощущается.
Ездовые качества пока что потестировать не успел.
Первые впечатления : конечно машина едет немного по-другому. Руль вроде бы не такой острый (возможно немного вылечится установкой распорок на передние стойки), а может и показалось.
Крены стали немного больше, но думаю частично вылечится установкой заднего толстого стабилизатора.

В принципе я получил то что хотел - я на ней не гоняю. Увеличил универсальность своего 1,5 литрового друга :)
Вообще мой автомобиль в основном управляется женой со скоростью 40 км. в час - у меня есть служебный, так что небольшое изменение в поведении (если оно вообще есть, надо еще потестить) меня не смущает :)
