03 wrx...... really well done off road!

ok so i own a 2003 wrx and i recently took it off road!

i was surprised when i had to pull my friend with his truck out of the mud! hahahahahaha... i wish i had a camera... my friends now call me whenever they need some thing done!

i notice that there is a differnece between the way i(in a car) and my friends enter in their trucks
in a car u have to gun it from before even going into the mud
in a truck u go slowly into the mud and then hit the gas while u r already in it... maybe this is y they are always gettin stuck!

just thought i would post up some views on how subaru owned over a group of trucks!

So I have a Stock Ranger with 31inch mudders... I have never made it over this whole trail through a local state park with the truck (gets stuck or broke).. Last weekend I attemped the trail with my RS on some Hankook RS-2 ;) I made it the farthest I have ever made it, just to turn around, because I didn't have enough time to finish the trail.. And I didnt have a camera with me ;)

i want to know this as well. im in norcal and there never seems to be enough rally, as far as i can tell.

That just means that we need to set up a dirty meet in Norcal.

There's a good chance that 2008 will be an excellent year for rallycross in NorCal - this year you guys had three events at Thunderhill, two at Antioch and two in Rancho Cordova. Next year should be more of the same, plus there's Ridgecrest in February, which is a whole weekend - rally school on Saturday, rallycross on Sunday (although you can just do one of the days if you like). The rallycross is the only CRS "undroppable" event, so it's a must-race if you wanna compete in CRS. The location is kinda halfway between NorCal and SoCal so it's as good/bad for everyone :)

wrxisthebest, are you stalking me??? JK, great story, and welcome to the boards. I've been here all of about a week now. :D And I agree, more rallyx, and some dirty events up on Norcal would be cool.

Never have truer words been spoken. Unfortunately, we're lacking an abundance of dry lake beds & dirt roads. I live in the middle of the South Bay sprawl & don't get out much, so I'm not a wealth of info... Although, I know a car club was holding rally-x's out at Prairie City OHV near Sacramento this year, so that might be a likely candidate.

I'm looking forward to it. I wonder how the FRX north/south region split is gonna work out (if they go forward with it), or if any new venues will pop up around here in '08.
