08 really loud on gravel

Yeah i took my new 08 impreza up north and there is all gravel roads up there and i pulled on to the first one and it was incedibly loud i mean not juss normal like really really loud. Is this normal for subarus and how can i fix this?

turn up the stereo, or put all the windows down and go as fast as you can (within speed limits)

Some people cringe when I've taken them for rides.

that sound is what made me buy a dedicated rally car - my first couple of rally-Xes were when my suby was leased and that sound seemed all wrong in a leased car.. well, I own it now and also have kinda warmed up to the pea gravel racket sound.. at first it sounds like something really bad is happening but it's not (at least thats what I keep telling myself :) )
