I enjoyed reading Paul Eklund's piece in GRM this month on rally cross prep. It's preaching to the choir on DI, but those early GC's are a steal right now, kind of like the e30's are for the Bimmer folks.

They seem to have pretty good rally coverage. I ditched my subscription a couple years ago, but I may get it again. Does GRM have a presence on DI? I know they do on Nasioc, but his seems to much more their speed than nasioc.
Anyway, this new issue is awesome from front to rear, especially the article on modding a John Deere riding mower into a go kart. Once this rally car is done........:shock:

That's my blue Impreza on the cover along with the two page spread in the middle of Paul's article. They certainly knew how to pick a low bucks rallycross car....my impreza is as low bucks as they come.

I got a kick out of Paul's thoughts on upgrading the disk brakes from a fairly recent WRX. I recently upgraded the rear brakes on my Impreza this year using the rear disk brakes off a '93 Legacy wagon donor car that I found at Pull a Part! It cost me more for the stainless steel brakelines than for the brakes themselves.

But it was a great article by Paul. I'm still not done with the mods. I'm considering installing Delta cams into my n/a EJ22. Anyone have any experience with that? And how did it work out for you?

Nice to see that, I've been very happy with the recent GRM (and Classic Motorsport) issues, tons of good info @ the GR level! As a matter of fact, I just happened to have an old John Deere in my shed when that recent issue came out with the go-kart conversions....This afternoon we decided to see what we could build with the spare crap kicking around my garage. The smell of old mouse turds must have got to us, so we decided to stretch it 13" Thanks GRM! :)
