Aluminum STI Control Arms on 06'+ WRX

So, there i was taking apart my suspention on my 06' WRX because i have to replace my front passenger side lower control arm. I realized that they are aluminum... i looked at my buddies 07' STI and he has the exact same comtrol arm. i shopped around for WRX control arms and what i found was solid black steel control arms for 02'-07' WRX's. do the 06'+ WRX's come stock with aluminum control arms or is my WRX special? well, i think my WRX is special anyways :love:

06 WRX's came with aluminum control arms. Previous and following model WRX's are steel. 07's would have had the same, but Subaru wanted to cut production costs.

im glad i have aluminum Control Arms because it just might have saved my frame by bending and not bending my frame instead. i dont think the steel ones are so forgiving...

i have an 06 TR and it has the aluminum control arms. i had one that was bent in a crash and the body shop/dealership thought they had to have been added from the SPT catalog. so they ordered the STI arm and mount for the one side. now i think the arm is the same but i know the mount is different and i now have more castor on the one side. i need to double check the numbers on the arms and order the matching mount for the other side
