So there was a post on Special stage saying its On!

the sign up just became live sometime this morning (i think i checked last night)

http://www.rallydata.com/default.cfm

the website is here : http://www.northnevadarally.com/

who is interested in going to this one? I'm guessing with the late notice they may be hurting a bit for volunteers (that and i only see 5 listed on rally data) So don't be shy!

my engine seemed to check out OK this weekend....so waiting on news from the turbo....if the turbo checks out OK, then I missed something and/or its something else that I can't find and everything goes back to the tuners and I can't go.

If its something obvious w/the turbo...get that fixed, put it all back together...start it up and race it!

I'm the noob that's doing his first stage rally. We've meet at a few rallycrosses here and there but the meetings aren't usually long. If everything lines up like it should we'll be competing against each other in P-Stock. I'm adding to the VW count with another GTI.

Awesome! I really hope you can make it out to the rally! Glad to have someone else enter the sport and glad to have them grow P-stock a bit. Chrissie Beavis and Michele hoche-Mong (Organizer) are the really fast P-stock guys that have ran since i started. Kris.M also, but he's moving to Grp.5

LMK if there's anything i can help you out with. I have some in car video of the stages i could share with you. Saturadays stages will be smooth, flowing, and they don't require much ground clearance , or stiff springs. (i ran my first rally on the stock subaru suspension and only sat down on the skid plate 3-4 times)

:)

I might have to take you up on that, Alex. Don't be suprised if you get a few stupid questions in your PM inbox.

Is Keith not coming up?

Yep, it's on. We just got final confirmation of our permits last week. Definitely a nail-biter.

The website's up and running, and supp regs and schedules and so forth are there too.

At this point we could use all the competitors and volunteers we can get. I'll be checking in here regularly to answer any questions.

And, this is a good rookie event. It was Alex's rookie event two years ago - ask him.

Nope don't believe we are doing any events until Idaho... :cuckoo:

Guess he's only going for USRC this year.

Can you guys volunteer? as of now they are only up to 9, doesn't sound like enough... eeks!

Volunteer to race??? Just kidding I wish, car's still not ready. Kyle and I wanna head up there either way. We are trying to talk Arron the guy that serviced for us out at HDT to come as well. We were thinking about volunteering but we probably wouldn't be up until Friday Night. Either way I need some RALLY action, I am DIEING

Well, this is sort of frustrating. Last year we got out the word early and had everything ramping up and then kinda got screwed on our permits at the last minute. This year we were reluctant to announce anything until we knew we had permits in hand and now we've kind of screwed ourselves with the late announcement.

Frankly, if we don't get enough cars this year we'll probably just give NNR up as a lost cause and pack it in. I don't want to be a downer or anything, but pounding my head against a brick wall for a couple of years in a row isn't my idea of fun. I'd rather be spending my money and time chasing Alex for the P-Stock trophy.

On the positive side, we've got a few RallyMoto guys who've promised to enter but haven't yet, and a few of the people who're at OTR at the moment have said they'd enter if they don't break their cars too badly there, so hopefully things will start looking up.

Well we signed up to volunteer .... sorry we couldn't race this one. I would have really liked to, with the night stages and all. We need all the practice we can get for Prescott but yah know "whinewhinebitchmoan". Anyways hope all goes well and we see you out there, and NNR happens!

Thanks for signing up :) I really really hope this one runs too. Awesome awesome stages, as long as you stay on the road you won't hurt your car, rather unique for the south west. Its smoother than Prescott. only idaho has equally smooth roads!

100 miles of smooth dirt compacted into 2 days. versus 150 miles over 4 days. Awesome value esp if missing days off work is hard / costly for you

Well you are selling the stages for sure!! But we aren't racing just going to help with everything else really, "volunteer" LOL. The car isn't ready. But we will probably be there late Friday night and ready to lend a helping hand or tip tie where it's needed. ;)

Hey Alex, where is the rally actually going to be located? I heard part of it is going to be by the Black Rock. I am correct?

Friday night stages will be out towards lovelock, Exit 93 i think

Saturday stages will be 50 miles north of I-80, out on 447

:headbang: I think we can make this happen! oh yeah!

Think we need to get 15 more volunteers in 11 days. going off a guess of 50 minimum to run the event...

I'm looking to bring a car load of volunteers. I need to convince them we don't need 8 crew people (1 with car knowledge) and that they'll see more stuff as volunteers.

A carload of volunteers would be most appreciated.

If you know any hams that would be interested, we really could use a few more.

yarr chill bean. i even asked the guy who built my car to volunteer instead of crewing.. I just told him he built the car so well obviously it's not going to need service (kiss of death there huh? ) and he can more appreciate the car if he's working a road block watching it zoom by ... hehehe ;) something about a brand new baby though i don't think he's coming out either way :(

*sanctioned thread bump*

Still really really could use some more volunteers @ this one!

I hear Jackson rally is coming up just to help work course , they're not even entered and they are helping out! :)
