Best route?

So I have a '98 OBS that is in some pretty rough shape. It has plenty of dents, dings, and more dents. Has a completely shot suspension, and as of the past weekend no 5th gear. The engine is alright, has 170k miles on it, it just throws the random CEL every now and then. So I have been looking at upgrading much of the stuff wrong with the car or purchasing a used rally car. Then the thought came to me of buying a wrecked/totaled wrx or 2.5rs and just moving all the salvageable parts to my OBS instead. Would it be cheaper to look for a totaled wrx that is not being parted out rather than a used 2.5rs or buying a used rally car? I'm pretty confident in swapping the parts over, but I haven't been able to find a wrecked wrx or anything for a decent price. So, should I look into picking up a used 2.5rs, totaled/wrecked wrx, or a used rally car. I'm on the usual college kid budget so the cheapest route would be the best. I guess even a wrecked 2.2l impreza or 2.5l forester would be good at this point. Or just replace all the parts individually?
