VW Recaros?

Will the mid '90s Jetta Recaros fit a '96 OBS?

*assuming* You must mean the ones that actualy have the word recaro stiched on to it, with the big bolsters, from a GLI maybe ...

I'd do it, if you have a welder and some scrap metal . If you have to pay someone do make them fit, I'd prolly pass .

BTW : Every seat in every VW is made by recaro. There is only one exeption, the r32 . :( Which had to have Konigs ...

As theses seats are free, before I tell my bud no-do they
really suck that bad? Looking for an upgrade from the stock OBS's that fits my budget-free works but if it's a stepdown why bother?

Cut the rails off the bottom of your OBS seat and the VW seats, and weld the OBS rails back on.

Y not just find subaru seats ;) Lots of people upgrade to STi seats, so stock WRX / 05+ rs seats are easily found and work AWESOME as far as support, compared to older 90s seats....

I figure without a cage in, you can make just about anything fit by cutting and welding some brackets...

If you can't make 'em fit in the OBS, I bet there'd be a local VW owner who'd be happy to take 'em off your hands rather than paying someone to take them. But if they're nice seats and you have access to a welder then go for it.
