I have a AWD 93 L with stock struts/springs, 114K miles, Stock ft swaybar/no rear and I'm looking to improve the handling. Im asking for advice on whether to do sway bars or struts first. As it is my DD, although it MAY see a track day once or twice a year, I do not want to go to Coilovers. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What struts are currently on the car? Stock L's? How many miles?

Sorry, I should have put that in original post. Its on stock struts/springs, 114K miles. Stock front bar/no rear bar.

Well I would say add a rear sway bar first this will help the car handle a lot more neutral as right now I'm sure it's a pushy pig. Is your L FWD or AWD? You may want to check and see if your rear lateral links have the sway mounts cuz if not you'll have to swap them out in order to add a sway. If they don't I'd say do some adjustable struts and springs. That way you can set the dampening on the rear a little harder to compensate for the lack of a sway bar.

Its AWD. No mounts on rear laterals. I am looking at a set of 05 WRX wagon laterals I have heard will fit.

Gotcha. Well check those lateral links for the sway bar mounts. I'm not sure whether AWD models will have them or not in that year.
