The monkey on the shaft is an nice touch! A bit tall for my taste, but i'd be interested in one about 2/3's that size.

I know I have been wanting to make one on my own, just couldn't find anyone with the proper tap and die for the threads, nor anyplace that had it really cheap.

looks like the ring isn't effected, you just have to grip the shaft not the head and tug it gently. Then you can back that ass up.
and I like it. I was also thinking about how to diy one, but ended up getting a nice wclathewerks extension and ball for christmas instead. It's not that long, but I love it.

^^ the reason this is a good idea. I was also wanting to do something like this. Although for more practicality I would also be interested in one 2/3 the size, just so that it wouldnt be totally in the way of the dash instruments and funny looking. Mind telling us what size the tap is?

nice work! i'd be interested in buying one if you made 7-8 inch extender... 12 inches is a little tall. still cool though!

I really like that, I would be interested in one. I have a bubble shifter in my Genesis that does something similar.

Way too many penis references in this thread...
I have my shifter setup a bit higher than stock, I like it high but short throws. It'd be cool to get a setup that relocated the shifter assembly a bit higher so it could be closer to the wheel without making the throw longer.
