ok so i got the badge off and then i tried to use some peanut butter to remove the glue... heard that worked well so i figured why not. didnt work. so then i tried heating up the glue alot with blow dryer. then sprayed on dw 40 and rubbed off all the sticky. worked pretty good i guess just took a while. but now i still have the outline of the "2.5i" on there the i was off the car when i bought it but part of the glue was still on. how do i get rid of the little bit of outline left? in the shade/dark you dont really notice it but in the sun you do. and if i wash my car then rewax the hatch will my paint be ok or no? should i wait to get rid of the outline before i wax? or not worry about it?

just go to a car store and buy an Eraser. Plug it into your drill and spend 30min to an hour using it like a buffer. Should take care of it.

Looks like a bad TAN to me :)

What Colin said should work .. Get a buffer to even out the color difference.
