i got my radiatior flushed and refilled at the stealership for free right after i bought the car. the problem is i dont know what kinda antifreeze they used... should i just used some perestone any color extended life to top it off or is that a bad idea? i have been using water untill lately cause i know i need to thickin it up with some antifreeze.

woudl i be better off just draining flushing and using my own stuff? is it nessisary to use the subaru brand one?

If you had it done at the dealership, then I'm sure they used Subaru antifreeze. I would just go buy a gallon from the dealership, and top it off. It doesn't cost much more than Prestone, and it's the best stuff to use for our engines.

I could get a way with just using water here too (well at least until snowboard season starts) but i always buy Subaru OEM coolant / antifreeze and a bottle of the Subaru Coolant Conditioner.

Despite what it looks like in this picture, its actually a very tiny bottle.

how many bottles of the subaru oem coolant should i buy to put in and how just one of the conditioners? do they make a radiator flush one that i can use or no?
