Short in Running lights & Headlights

Sometimes when i turn on the headlights in my 06' WRX. my drivers side Parking light (the little light in the headlights) dosnt come on. i have to hit the lense and it comes on. also, i resently replased my headlights because the drivers side burned out, so i changed them both. i noticed that the pasenger side headlight harnis wires were a little burned up. :? has anyone else had this problem w/ there 06' WRX or STI? im not good when it come to electrical so im gonna need some help on this one.

It happens regardless of vehicle. Sounds like you got a loose connector or pin in the connector. Try pushing it in more or remove it and look inside the connector to see if anything looks damaged. If your headlight bulb wiring looks fine and hasnt gotten worse from what it was it should be OK. best thing to do to prevent shorts or fires is to wrap the wires in some electrical tape just to add some protection.
