I m looking at strut tower bars on ebay and what would be better, the OBX strut bars or the kakumei motorsports bars. I like the style of the kakumei and they come as a set. but i know obx makes other things for subies and have good quality. any other suggestion are apprieciated too thanks.

Unless it is a one-piece solid strut bar (front) or an X-brace (rear). They won't do anything for you no matter what the price.

a bar is a bar if it fits it works...
brand does not matter just as long as it is one piece

Or do what I am doing, and get a super cheap ebay special bar, and make it one piece and an X-brace.

Good luck finding an x-brace these days. I just sold mine recently and i had literally a dozen offers on it.

Just for reference, its one of these:

not really. you mean the top ones? hand tight, only 15 pounds of fource. get em tight and then just blip them, to much and you will snap them. dont be afraid tho lol, ive removed my nuts a few times... i mean... um... from the car. yea.

seriously, just do it hand tight.

i bought those same bars i believe
they are cheap and they work

one thing to remember is to jack the car up and then tighten the bars while the suspension is hanging. that way they do their job

^^ are you sure? I think the suspension on the ground is best for seating the bolts.

Gome, you may have to lift the rear a little to drop the studs down and slip the support on the rears.

a 3/8 drive will tighten them fine, and a 1/4 inch may work better, as it doesn't allow you to go uber tight .

The rear bar is the fun part, you will been a 1/4 ratchet and a long 12. You may have to remove the seatbelts temp, which is fun. OR a ratcheting wrench will work around that - not sure how big your tools collection is ;)

Again, don't tighen the rears too much either, fixing a broken stud is cheap, but a pita

the stud bolts you can tighten down whenever, i meant the bar itself.

the one i bought is adjustable by tightening or loosening the nuts on the crossbar, therefore making the bar longer or shorter as needed. it looks like the one Gnome purchased works the same as mine (if you look at the pictures on ebay you can see nuts on the bars near the base plate ends)

ohhhhhh adjustable bars. I have that on my whileline bar, yes, agreed, let her hang! And make it as even as possible.
