Well here is the build of my beater Subaru, I bought it in August to have something to drive during the winter so i got the impreza for 600$. It was in bad shape, the starter coil wire needed to be shorted to the battery's positive in order to start but I figured that I could fix it in the month that I had.

Found that the driver's side suspension was not properly connected to the chassis so I needed to cut it open

With that I started to address the bad throttle response and the rough idling and cleaned my throttle body and idle air control valve. From this

So it would now start from inside the car and would idle at under 2000 rpm.
It was all going well for a few months until I was attracted to a magnetic tree on the Tremblant mountain. And whoops

So we brought it back to my place and I started to fix it, being as cheep as possible. The only part I bought was a 75$ radiator from the scrap yard. One of my head light covers is made out of packaging tape and the front is held together with ty-wraps.

I broke the timing belt cover so I got a piece of plastic and duct taped it to the rest of the cover

I broke the hood fastener so I drilled two holes and passed some 8" screws though the hood to make it secure instead of the bungee cords that I was using before

First off road run.
