I hate that in the STi the rear seat neither folds down or has a pass thru for cargo. Just thought I would share my annoyance.

Anyone else have problems with their Impreza and the fact that birds LOVE to **** on the car any chance they get? I parked outside my apartment, with NO trees around, yet maybe once or twice a week I'll go out to the car in the morning to find a bird has taken a dump on it. Same goes for whenever I park on campus, rarely am I under trees, yet its always getting their droppings on it..... while my friend has a 2002 Focus ZX3, has had it sitting outside never being used for months, not a single drop on his....

That is so funny cause I have the same problem. For some reason birds use my car for target practice and always hit it. I quickly bought some Meguiers quick mist and some rags I leave in the car just for this.

I have been keeping a pack of microfiber towels and some auto glass cleaner for this problem, and the fact I like to keep my windows spotless. Which also brings up another problem, drivers side window? spotless, passenger window? Fingerprints all over the top of the glass, anytime I take people for a ride, they don't seem to notice the frame less windows, I know they don't mean bad, but it irks me, haha.

Are you parking under power lines, one side of my driveway has power lines and if my car is parked on that side birds will crap on it, but if I park on my side nothing. Really the only problem I have with it is the large trunk but sometimes lack of cargo room for long items, I have ski rack but, I don't know I liked how my Civic coupe seats split and folded down.

It would seem that after tearing around in the desert at near redline RPM's, dirt finds its way into the interior. And by finds its way in, I mean there's a huge plume of dust outside from going sideways, and I have my own huge plume of dust inside making it harder to see. Dust does not taste good either.
Guess its not really a problem unless you beat on your car in the dirt

i hate how no matter how good you clean the inside of all the dust and wash the seats and clean the carpet and all a day later you still find s#!t load of dust everywhere. where is it comming from? :machinegunleft:

The Dust Bunny (Easter Bunny's long lost ******* cousin) lives in your vents. Also, beat the hell out of you seats while you vacuum, you might be surprised how much they absorb.
For a really fun time dont use your AC for a month or so, play in the dirt a few times, and then turn your AC on full blast. Ohhhh yeah!

I took everything i didn't like about my impreza out. Then I add things to cover the other few problems as they arise or as i recognize them.

Speaking of the dust problem, I had to take everything out of my trunk and spray it down with the hose then wipe it down.
Take note: Dirt and Mt. Dew are not a good combonation.
Also take note: 2 Liter bottles may burst in your trunk if you drive crazy enough.

^^
I hate bursting 2 liter bottles
I dont like all the creaks and rattles in my GC.
But its nothing i can't live with.

Oh yeah. My dash started to rattle last week. Annoying, but I forget about it.

Wow i dont even know if i can remember all my gripes... but despite them all I WILL NEVER SELL MY STi!
- Dirt in the window guides (even after multiple washes when i roll the windows up, theres always 2 dirt streats where the plastic guides are inside)
- 04 STi came with nothing, no stereo, no floormats, etc. So i bought a 5disc in dash changer from an 05 for like $100. w00t!
- As discussed earlier, no pass through / no seat fold down
- Front spats like to rip off
- No rear cupholders
- STUPID little in-between sunvisor thingy only on the 04's between the driver's sunvisor and the passenger's. pointless!
- Radiator draincock spills everywhere when opened (haven't figured out a way to get a tube on there without spilling)
- steering column plastics like to rattle.
- Rear strut clunk comes back even if a little bit of dirt gets in the seal.
- Cruise control likes to shut itself off randomly

this is really a lame ass gripe, but considering that 02 was the first year we got a taste of the WRX here in the states Ive always thought they should have used some more aggressive colors on the 02 WRX dash instead of green and yellow...also as a sidenote, us lucky 02 owners did get the pass through in the back seat which Ive utilized extensively to haul multiple snowboards to the colorado rockies. Ive actually managed to fit 4 boards minus the bindings in there

Just as I finished reading that, I headed outside to go get some dinner with some friends, and lo and behold, I am parked in the middle of a tree-less parking lot, and there wasn't one, but TWO ****s on my car. One on the roof, and one on the rear driver window.

Right now the biggest gripes I have about my car are my crappy tires and seats. I know I have the TR version of the WRX, but they still should have put better seats in like up to par to the regular WRX. Getting a regular WRX wasn't an option unless I wanted a used aka beaten with a 2.0L or automatic WRX which wasn't gonna happen.
MConte05

Hence why I am trying quite hard to find a set of 06 or 07 WRX seats, cause I have the same seats in my 2.5i, would love to have the regular WRX ones.

my 04 wagon was so cool.. we fit a smallblock chevy in the back without folding down the seats. one trip we had 4 people 3 snowboards, an inner tube, rope, a small bbq and a cooler with food in it.. my 05 sti barely fit a halfway inflated inner tube in the trunk. :angryfinger:. oh well drives like :headbang: though.
