Any word if RA will adopt the 2010 FIA regulation for 33mm turbo restrictor on Production cars?

Did you call them and ask?

Currently they require a 32 for stock cars, and a 34mm for open ..
With how gay stupid lawyers are.. i don't think that will get any better (i define better by ditching the restrictors or having bigger ones)

Do you plan to use it on a 2.0l engine? ;)

Yeah, I'm finishing up my 03 WRX PGT build, and I made one to 32mm and it's in already. If you've had the pleasure of doing this it basically involves removing the entire intake manifold...
Anyway, in talking to the RA basically when the RA rules are vague you should go by FIA and the FIA restrictor looks like it requires a rocket scientist to engineer...
I basically duplicated a simple inline reducer I have been using on my current Rally Car (92 Mitsu GSX). Basically a flanged inlet reducer to the 32mmx5mm within 50mm rule, and was recommended a 7deg taper back into the Turbo. Modeled after a drawing a friend supplied.

Here are some photos that you may find interesting (from my build):

I've also got some after the took some material off the restrictor to make it fit properly with the odd shape of the intake manifold.

Thats funny, mine started out similar to that (size wise) & with the TGV and intake removed I totally forgot about the clearance issue there. So it was basically cut down to about the size of the smaller one in your photos...

FYI - *technically*, this type of restrictor was against the rules in NASA. That said, we're incorporating some rule changes to allow this type of slip-in restrictor (that the vast majority of competitors already use).
