Hi everyone.
I've got 1995 Impreza 1.8L Stick shift.
I couldn't find where to plug the diagnostic tool on the vehicle (ODBCOM). I looked around the steering wheel (underneath it), but couldn't find it.
Thanx

Because you don't have it. ;)

'95's are OBD-1. Only OBD-2 cars which are '96 and up have that port.

If you have a check engine light, there are two black connectors under the dash that you plug together, and the CEL will flash a type of morse code to tell you what's wrong with the car.

My car is a '95 and I have ODB-II

check on the dash, drivers side, by the door. it would be in a little cuby thing w/ a fold down flap.

Yeah, Some 95's have it. They started switching from OBD1 to OBD2 like halfway through the production year I guess.

to the left of the steering column on the dash.

so above the fuse box. but on the dash.

as far at the OBD 1 vs. OBD 2

The United States required all manufactors to have OBD2 by 1995. most manufactors from japan did not make the change untill the U.S. started handing out fines then made the change. so some are '95's and most are '96's.

-at least that is what i heard when i was in school.

You will just have two green connectors under the dash that you have to plug together, and the CEL will flash in a kind of morse code to tell you what the error code is.
