Hey everyone. I think I have finally found a build direction that I like, I was sick of seeing slammed wrx's riding 3cm off the ground. But now that I've found dirtyimpreza my eyes have opened:shock:.

I have a 2003 wrx and I'm looking to make it into an offroad beast but also a daily monster... Currently it's stage 1, and other than that she's stock. Anyhow I was looking into a suspension/wheel and tire set up that would be conducive for my goals. Can you guys help?

There was a silver 2004 wrx I saw on here a while ago "hellaunflush" If I can get my bugeye looking something like that......I would be pumped. So toss out the suggestions.... Thanks so much everyone!

Also... the cheaper the better... haha. I won't sacrafice build quality for price but I would like to keep this somewhere in the neighborhood of $2000ish

Really guys......nothing? After doing a bit more research I think I might just go with a JR lift and Paranoid shims. I was hoping to fit some grabbers underneath that. Have any of you had experiance with that set up? What is the biggest size tire I could run without having to worry about fender well issues?

Thanks

there are alot of people running that sort of setup actually.

heres a link to people with that lift and some decent sized tires.

also, if you go into the "wheels and tires" technical forum in the GD/GG chassis forum, you will find many many threads about tire sizes, also if you go into the suspension technical forum in the GD/GG forum, you will learn more about the lift and what it entails.

good luck with your new found direction :D

Heh, I don't think you were being ignored - it's just that Friday afternoons and the weekend can be a bit slow cos we're all out either fixing or breaking our cars :lol2:

I don't have anything useful to add, but mad props on the direction. Multi-use cars rock.

remember, stock is good. stock is reliable. and stock is affordable.
suspension, well, thats a must to upgrade. but read up and spend well. you get what you pay for. stay outa puddles and mud unless you have the stock air box. invest in skid plates, too.:headbang:
