So I just read that the SE is going to come in a few colours that regular ones don't. Spec C suspension, and JDM STi wheels. Also supposedly a stereo and climate control downgrade, and headlights, I reckon to save weight. Although on Subaru's site they actually mention they won't ditch the stereo.

If they ditched the stereo and floor mats it would be similar to the 04 STi.

i just wish Subaru of America would grow a pair and bring Quick Steering over. That is the #1 thing i want that i can't get (OEM) in a USDM Subaru. It makes a bigger difference alone than all those bushings and crap will.
Things a US model impreza needs:
Quick Steering
No sound deadening
4/2 pots
Basically, a real Spec C/RA.

You could always invest in a steering column reducer (the 1.5:1 version doesn't require any power steering upgrades)...

The STI doesn't do much for me. I just want the DCCD and I'll be set. They should make the STI specifically for race tracks, and the WRX for rally. How sweet would that be?

DCCD is a huge PITA, it seems nice at first but in all reality most of us would do just as well having a 20k center diff. And the STi was created to be a Group N car, why change it?

I was just thinking if they had an on-road performance car, and an off-road performance car how awesome it would be. I dunno why I assumed the STI would be the street version, maybe because I have a WRX. :D

But Subaru built/builds rally cars. Hence the WRX name in the first place, World Rally eXperimental. Rally is a road based form of racing whether the roads are paved, gravel, dirt or other. For off road performance get an old GL or DL wagon, lift it and go to Moab or some such place.

Subaru has a well balanced car for the states. We as Americans are kinda spoiled a bit. Some of the people want this or take off a little of that. But the only competition for us under 100k is a porsche. Subaru was the only car maker that went positive in sales in 2008. And if we did get a stripped down race car, we either couldn't smog it or it would cost a fortune...CHECK THIS PRICE OUT...
