Don't know how many people have the 4eat on DI, but i figured i probably wasn't the first to do this while playing. TheSolenoids on the bottom aren't very well protected IMO, and can really screw up your day:shootsself:.

so has anyone else damaged the solenoids on the bottom of the trans?

edit: If you plan on playing in the dirt the primitive skid w\stinger option would be the way to go, the sensors are 100 buck a pop, luckily i only damaged 2.

my only experience is that a buddy told me he broke one by accident by punching the trans pan in a fit of rage.

I work part time in a transmission shop, and see this at least once a month, though not yet on a Subie. Ford guys are good for this(mashed gas tanks, as well).

Interesting... I have a 4EAT and raged in a muddy field and plowed through 14 inches of snow. I wont be doing that anymore LOL.

So is that a custom skid plate? or is that one we could buy. (not referrring to the piece that would protect the 4EAT)
