You need to do this in time for the RallyX this weekend. Let me know how much it runs you, I may do the same.

Should only run about $40 installed, if my car were FI I would do it in a heartbeat, there was a WRX at the rallyx last weekend that was running a straightpipe and it sounded awesome. I am just worried my little egg-beater NA motor will sound bad

The 2.5 NA sounds good but is freakin loud!

There was a 2.5l NA at Maine Forest a few years ago with a straight pipe and damnn it sounded good but I still can't hear anything. ;)

Yeah next time I take it down to my buddies shop I am going to slide everything back in a little.

Dont even bother, just cut off that tip thing, and grind it down smooth right after the "muffler" part.

As promised...pictures, the gap is only about 1.5" from the bumper down to the tip, just enough so it doe not melt anything.

Bumper cutout is stock, the pic angle kinda makes it look like the muffler is hanging down a bit but its tucked up in there as far as it could go without hitting the cross member in the back, or being so close that it would melt the bumper

Ill post some pics of mine...Its actually stock....I just cut open the stock muffler, got ride of the rediculous maze and cut out the "spark arrester" looking thing that was straight and ran the lenght of the muffler inside and welded it onto the pipe where the muffler was welded, but without a "tip" it is was a little shy of the cutout on the bumper so I cut a tip out of some 3'' exhaust tubing and made a tip. It souds great, not loud, I just wanted to be able to hear the car, also very stealthy!!
