haha construction. yes construction. when i find that pic i had when i bought it you'll see. well this is how my story goes.
One lovely afternoon, i was looking through auto locator. I got to the last cupple pages and saw FOR SALE: 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS 5spd Red/Black Wrecked, Asking $990!!!! I quickly went online and searched on google for the RS's. As soon as i saw the pic of one of them, I immediately contacted the owner, and one week later the title was in my name and was shipped to my dads shop. When i went to look at it first, i was wrecked pretty damm hard. The moral behind it is, some lady got drunk and ran it into a pole at least 40mph. Everything in the front is pretty much messed up. But i didnt car, for $990 and 01 was the best thing. 1 month later i foung a L Model SW at and auction and bought it for 600 bucks. I just need the bare front clip and someother things ill need. Ill buy a new dashboard and aftermarket front parts. Right now she sitting because I have work to do on other cars so i have a good fund for the Subbie. I really cant wait until shes done. Plus i fell in love with the interior!
This is how i met Elliott (I LIKE IT SIDEWAYS)
I joined the RS club on Myspace and saw him there. I requested him as a friend. Later on we talked a bit and became good friends. Soon (hopefully this summer or Fall) we'll meet up to hit some rally tracks, and the winter of '07 we'll we out snow drifting the mountains!
As of right now i own a 93 accord (also there to boosting then later on selling) a 94 legend, just fix up and sell. Also dont forget the 2 subbies
Sorry if its too long, that pretty much how i love subbies!

Hey, all, new here, but I'm on www.rs25.com and www.nasioc.com under this same name. Anyways, I have a 2000 2.5RS, silver, and this last fall, I installed an AVO turbo kit in it, I love it! Haven't actually been off-road for a while, but I do have 3 seasons of rally-cross under my belt. Insurance put an end to that, though, told me if they caught me racing again, they were going to drop me. Oh, well, rally-x was putting a good bit of wear-and-tear on the car, and I was planning on retiring from it, anyways. But I'm still always open to the occasion blast thru a logging road or gravel lot! Here's a couple pics of me in action:

He used to have a sweet pic of me with the inside front tire off the ground blasting thru a corner, but I don't see it any more. I think I have it saved on one of my computers, though, but not sure which one. Car still looks similar, but I have an RB5 wing now.

welcome to the boards!
How did insurance originally find out that you were rallyxing? Thats a bummer.
the second picture is gorgeous.
Pics of the RB5 wing? I bet that looks amazing on your car.

There it is with the wing. Also mesh fog covers, lost one to a rock, and wanted to protect them while still being able to use them. Still planning on painting the little bumper vents black, that will make that whole area silver and black, should look better than the body colored vents I have now.
As for how insurance found out about the racing, I have no idea. I just got a letter from them one day saying they where dropping me. I had to talk them into not dropping me, but had to promise to not race it anymore. I also had to go in and let them take some pics of the car. I asked my guy how this even came up, and he didn't know, it was a letter sent from corporate, and he didn't know anything about it. I didn't file any caims or anything, they must have either sent people out to races or have people scouring the internet for this kind of thing. Either way, it sucks.
Oh, and one more money shot:

The wing looks great, it really does. I love the tails as well
Thats a bummer about the insurance... And kind of crappy...
I didn't even think one day and I left my numbers on my car after a rallyx and drove home... I drive right by my insurance agency on my way home. whoops
The avo install looks really clean!! i've never seen pics of the avo kit before. How much boost?

Just JDM tails, Ilove them, so much cleaner looking than the USDM. No orange lenses left on my car! JDM rears, clear sides and corners, and tinted bumper blinkers. And the wing was a deal I couldn't pass up. Showed up locally, some guy wanted to put a stock wing on his car so he could sel it, so I got this RB5 wing (already the right color, even!) for my stock coupe wing and $150!
As for the AVO kit, it really is a very well engineered kit, only took my friend and I a day and a half to do the install in his garage. Probably could have done it faster, but why rush? Right now, I'm amking about 4 PSI, but I plan on taking it in to RalliTek in the next week or two and getting it dyno tuned for 6 PSI. I did a datalogging run last week, though, and there was something funky going on with my tuning map. It's a grid, RPM going up/down, and boost left to right, and there's a cursor following the two, and you making the injector/timing changes in the sells of the grid. But when I did my datalogging run, I noticed it's only following the RPM, and not seeing the boost at all, so it seems it's not adding fuel or pulling timing under boost. YIKES! Need to e-mail Sean and see if a setting got mixed up, since one of the readings on the side is showing the input from the stand-alone MAP sensor the kit is using. So the input is there, but the tuning map isn't using it. Oh, well, it's not too hard to stay off the boost, if you try.

hey, it looks like i'm new to, i was reqruited from facebook.
The site looks pretty good although i doubt there are that many toronto people on this site, but i'm sure there are a few.
I own a 1998 RS coupe with a swapped '01 NA SOHC. I'm trying to keep it NA, although turbo is so tempting, mainly to try something that is not often done with subaru's. (plus the fact that i am very....very broke)

Oh you'd be suprised... RyanH is our Canada Regional Moderator and hails from Toronto.
... well back on topic. that RB5 wing is awesome... looks so good on there. I sure would love to get my hands on some JDM tails, but im probably just going to crack em anyway. So whats the point?
When are we going to get to see some pictures of that sedona RS on its way back to life?
