Spotted in Santa Clara, CA

So I was dropping my wife off at her dance class & I see this car I had seen once before zooming past on the expressway! There it is parked next to the dance studio. I kicked myself for not having any DI "spotted" cards on me at the time (but I saw the car twice within a mile, so I hope I see it again). If you wanna know exactly where this was spotted: a month or two ago, NB on Lawrence Expy a few blocks south of El Camino; then at the corner of El Camino & Pomeroy

I did find some info (http://www.catherineandken.co.uk/sti/car.html) about a limited run of 555 Imprezas with the full decal treatment produced in the mid '90s (all the 555 cars I could find were 1995 "Impreza STi Version II - 555 Limited Edition").

Another funny aspect is what gave the Impreza its name. Subaru secured sponsorship from far Eastern cigarette brand 555. But while cigarette advertising is disallowed in most European countries, in one of the biggest marketing tricks ever Subaru simply decided to call their new rally car the "Impreza 555". Such with 555 being a model identity like GTI or WRX, people could have no objection for Subaru to display their 555 model name across their cars. Things didn't work out quite like that, but an ingenius try nevertheless.

3. "running good"?! wtf is implied here? my car runs perfectly fine as do most of the other members' cars'. perhaps if your friends took some lessons on how to keep control on a loose surface, you'd spend less time gettin' your rides repaired.

About the 555 decals, i heard rally innovations is going to have a full on 555 tribute rally car at SEMA this year. Ill be sure to get some spy shots up on DI the first day im out there...
