Hey guys! Came across this on autoblog. From the looks of it, it appears that the 08 STI is going to get SI Drive. This should be sweet!!! :twisted:

Official pics are out, and while I am disgusted with the WRX, the STi looks sexy. Amazing what some fender flares and different trim can do for a car. Could still use some tasteful mods, but the potential is there!

I love the hatch idea too. Bit too much chrome accenting for my liking though. And the rear lights are hideous (IMO).. I thought Mitsu were high on too much F&F nawwz when my Evo 8 came with those horrible Altezzas - they were the first thing to go.. replaced with well used lights from a rally prepped German spec Evo 7. No such luck with a brand new model though.

Overall though, ten thumbs up. Nice job Subaru, can't wait to see them getting dirty and knocking all those fancy trim pieces off :D

The STI is definately better looking than the WRX. I'm just wondering if it suffers from the same cheaper parts the WRX does.

Wow, I actually like the look of this. WRX sucked, but this is actually an attractive car. Weird how much difference there is.

I really like the hood compared to mine ('05) The scoop actually looks like (and actually is) a part of the hood and much smoother. While I like the aggressive sort of look of the past scoops, the fact that you can just detatch it (and it wobbles sometimes) makes it seem like an after-thought.

Hey i actually own a 2008 imreza 2.5i 5 door and i thought the same thing u guys did before going out and getting a close look at it. I think the new bodystyles features dont show that well in pictures and from a far compared 2 close up in real life. Everybody at my school thinks it looks really cool. Or maybe its just like every other impreza where everybody thinks it ugly as S*it at first but as time passes it starts to grow on them.
