sorry i know ive seen a thread here where someone mounted a bumper on their car with clips or sumthing but i cant seem to find it.. just wondering if anyone could give me some ideas on how i would mount that? nice solid removable clips would b nice as the bumper is near completely broken and is being held on by a few stock plastic clips.

Keith from Jackson Rally has them on his rally car, and I shamelessly copied the idea for my front end as well.
Here's my post from another thread (http://dirtyimpreza.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10319):
I finally started in on the bumper mounts. I really like the way Keith mounted his up on the Jackson Rally car, so I started in on the same method.
Here we have the latch and the aluminum backing plate that I fabbed up to keep the soft plastic bumper and the rivets playing nicely with each other:

And here's the first mounting point on the bumper. Trim a bit of the lip off the bumper, get everything all lined up pretty, and drill some holes! Clecos are FTW.

And here's the real time waster; the bracket that bolts to the fender. The nipple that the slide latch catches on is what determines the final bumper fitment. With the bracket bent at just the right angle and the nipple hole drilled in just the right place, the bumper lines up like it should.
The holes on either side of the nipple are to clear the heads of the rivets that hold the slide latch onto the bumper. I wish I had taken a photo of the other side, 'cause those holes were perfect and not egged out

And the three bolts that hold it onto the fender:

And the payoff of a whole lot of hours spent with small pieces of aluminum widgets: A bumper held on by only one slide latch per side, lined up just the way it should be!

I still need to do rear latches on both sides of the bumper (near the pieces of masking tape), along with a couple of latches on the top of the bumper that will tie into the as of yet non-existent "bumper beam"
Here's how the finished product ends up looking:

If I remember correctly, the stock bumper clips into the bumper beam (along the bottom of the grille). My bumper beam is long gone, and I still haven't gotten around to fabbing up latches for the center of the bumper. Even so, the four latches that are on there are doing just fine.
I picked up the fasteners from Pegasus Auto Racing. You will need the fasteners (http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=4660), some spacers (http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=4671) to get the bushing/nipple (http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/productdetails.asp?RecID=5280) spacing just right, 1/8" rivets, and #8 screws for attaching the bushing/nipple. I ended up using 4 spacers per bushing/nipple to clear the thickness of the bumper. Past that the rest is up to you as far as how you fab up the mounts.
Just be warned, it takes a bit of patience and a lot of time to get everything lined up just right. I think the time and effort was well spent though.
