I like the white!
Why PGT vs. SP?
Your right.....SP is what i'm interested in, truth be told I plan on racing in the California rally series first but would like to keep the engine stock. Now SP Vs PGT? SP more tailored to Subarus? 34mm restrictor etc? PGT just an older class?
I'm no expert but from what I understand SP lets you upgrade the thing that's most likely to break (transmission). You can swap in the 6 speed in SP class.
But a 6 speed is another ~$4K too, so if the goal is to get out there and get racing as cheap as possible, PGT may be the way to go.
I was just curious. :)
Good luck!

no it was a reality show and they where driving down the street and you where pulling out of a parking lot i had my mom stop and rewind just to make sure i was cracking up
that right you did have 2 debeads i had one but reset it self i lost 17 psi in one trun :-o that tire is still leaking... oh well so are you not gonna be running rally-x next season? or will this be drivable while you get it prepped?

Well...It Doesn't really look like we are having much of a Norcal rallyX session next year, but if we do i will at least show up and drive a water truck. Realistically I am hoping to get the cage installed in Late may / June. So I hope i get one race with her this year :)....ok so now i have to know....where was this reality TV show? I live in Napa...was it there?

Great looking car. Maybe we'll run head to head in PGT / SP... whatever we decide (i'm on the fence to) :)

For the budget RA PGT and CRS-GT would be the cheapest and easiest given the way your car sits today.
However you're going to want to look at RA PGT/CRS-GT/Prod AWD (USRC) classifications where there is very little competition and ranks are shrinking or ditch the turbo and go open light/CRS-GT where ranks are growing but you'll be heavier than the GC chassis, or go SP which would put you in CRS Open class and NASA Open 4WD. There are enough NASA events nearby that you could earn your coefficients in a turbo car before getting an RA license.
in the end it doesn't make a whole lot of difference because the classes are small and you will be competing within the same CRS classes anyway. Take a look at the recent entries in those classes and see where the competition is and then check the rulebooks to see what it will cost you to prep within that class, rinse and repeat until you find what works for you.
Looking forward to seeing you out on the stages.

It looks sweet.
"hittin the stages" Tyler you better get it ready before June event at PC and get some shake down time under your belt. That and scoring some Subie money for offsetting rally ventures.
