98 impreza outback

hi there I am betting someone has touched on this but anyways I have a 98 impreza outback 5MT 2.2L and I am lookin for a trans. I want a newer one from 02+.

my question is what would I need to replace to get a newer trans (say one from a 05 2.5I) in the car and running. or will it just swap across.

cable to a hydrolic clutch im not sure what would all go into that.
