There's a whole bunch of those BIG spiders (well, half dollar sized) nesting in the silver RX-7.

Leaving in 10 minutes to drive to Allen's place to drop off my Golf and pick up his Ranger and car trailer. Then driving back to Cleveland, sleep for four hours, then take a paid vacation day and thrash like mad on the black car. Then get some industrial-grade chainsaw, cut the huge amounts of spiderweb holding the silver car down to the ground, and load it up onto Allen's trailer. Then breathe for a day, and wake up at 0-2-early to drive the mess back down to Allen's, where we'll take all the rallycross spec goodies off of it and he'll scrap the rest. (I couldn't bear to do it myself, *snif*)

Are you going to try to make it to the Nationals in Detroit on the 13th? That is my goal. I will do it. Everything is falling into place.

Four minutes to go...

I wish I could say I'll make the 13th, but that will probably be the weekend I put in the new motor, and its my one year anniversary with Lauren, so I'll be celebrating that :D

Good luck with what you're doing!!! Holy crap thats going to be an insane few days. Tell allen I say hey!!!
And let me know how it all goes. I'm sorry to see the silver RX7 go... I love that car.

 Dude, watch out, those look like black widow webs (when they're all up/down attached to the ground like that). Also, black widow webs are incredibly tough, you can tell by poking with a stick. I'd be careful until you see who's making a home in that car.

Like that's an excuse :)

The black one will be more badass, I pulled the carpet and everything  And the harness mount isn't made out of scrap metal, either.

Will your car be done for the 20th I hope I hope I hope?

Hmmm... thanks for pointing ths out, I never thought about that. my house is positioned quite close to a plethora of woodlands and tall grass. Our entire neighborhood has spiders crawling everywhere. A few days ago one of my room mates ran over a wolf spider haha
I'll be sure to look around...so far I havent seen anything other than a few jumping spiders.
These webs sounded and felt pretty tough when I swept through them with a wrench.

Pete- Can't wait to see the RX-7.
the RS should be up and running in two weeks time. Pulling the motor tonight hopefully. Swapping in the new next week or the following. Woohoo!!! I can't tell you how much I miss driving it.

Unless you're living in that area of the Midwest that's desert, it's not going to be black window spiders. They don't like the cold too much :)
