De-winging

Hey i just de-winged my car from its hideous wing... and now im stuck with 5 holes in my truck lid... they honestly dont leak badly but i do need to fill them.... anyone got a cheap solution?

when i first bought my bug eye it was de-winged with just electrical tape over the holes...worked okay until i bought another wing for it

top i honestly didn't like it that's why i bought another wing i had a psm wrx with black tape all over the trunk previous owner ftl ....just putting an option out just because i didn't like it someone else might not car as much but it's worth the 10 cents in electrical tape as a temp patch your best bet is to find an impreza l trunk and use that

For a while I used some vinyl cut into circles on the top and bottom to seal up the holes.

search nasioc, there were some guys who found some plastic plugs online that with the holes nicely.

this is why the easiest solution to "de-wing" is to do a trunk swap with someone else.

Find some grommets from Home Depot or Lowes that fit the holes. Cheapest and easiest, but doesn't look the best.

find someone that makes vinyl stickers, theres probably a few people on this site, get them color matched to your car and cut into circles, then put them over the holes, on the top side. best looking way besides swapping a trunk.

ive seen it where people have super glued change to the underside the followed by bondoing the top of the trunk, sanding and painting. comes out well if you do it right. my buddy has to have everything perfect and his came out real clean.
