Good times out there everyone, it was great to see the rallycross crew and some new faces as well! I wish we could have stayed a bit longer with you guys, but i was anxious to get into that wonderful traffic over the hill on the 15. That was fun. Anyway, it was worth it, El Mirage was a blast! Much easier than JV to get to. Hope you guys enjoy the Hotdogs! Juliet was a good sport about cookin them all up while I was out and about jacking up cars, doin donuts, and shootin video / pictures. I didnt get many action shots, but heres my photos.
Despite how it looks here, the STi was actually pretty dirty before going out. It definitely got way dirtier...

It rained like crazy going through the pass to the desert, we called loren and he said he was at El Mirage and it was dry! I couldnt figure out how it was going to clear up so quick, but it totally did. On the way in, we saw an insane rainbow where you could see both ends touching the ground. The coolest part is that one end was actually on the ground on or near the dry lakebed.

The first pack of subies cutting across the lakebed to the far end. I got some pretty cool dashcam video of this, i hope it came out...

An unfortunate unmounting of msgsti217's rear tire. It looked pretty bad here, but we manged to get it at least close to being remounted... nice work guys...

I just liked this shot... the sweeping line he took.. and of course my suby helpin out with a jack. Everyone lent a hand, and well... lots of funny suggestions. Jumping on the tire seemed to work best.

The rest of the day i spent shooting video (not nearly enough though). so i took some snapshots at home. Camera doesnt to justice to how streaky and grimey this car was. It "half" rained on us as we drove home, smearing the lakebed silt all over...
