I was looking on the TiC website and noticed the RCE Black Springs were an option for their TiC Tok suspension package. What do you guys think of these springs? The RCE website says the rates are 285 lbs/in front and 269 lbs/in rear. Would this be too high for RallyX?

I think they would be pretty good. I've seen other Imprezas at the events that are on stage prepped coilovers that look to have high spring rate. They seem to work well.

Just searching for options. I think the higher spring rate would also cancel out the minimal ride height drop since the WRX weights less than the STI.

If I had a sedan, I probably would have gone with the Blacks. The drop is really negligable, and as you mentioned, the slightly lower weight of the WRX might negate that. These are supposed to be comparable to STi take-offs with higher rates.

Summary: Good choice for daily/rallyx

Too high of rate for rallycross, too low of drop. Go with USDM STi take off springs for RX use.
