yea a forum based around the dirt , but in NY the cops really hate it when you sneak around late at night to rally in the mud. They would flash there lights just becasue you have "fresh mud" on your car and he would then try to bust you on anything illegal on your car. This has been am issue for sometime and the safe places to go are being exposed by huge 4X4 trucks that rip the ground to shreads. At the moment I am using DMS coilovers and Dunlop winter sport M2 to keep me in the mud and away from danger(like the 4" drop at one location). If anyone out there wants to rally it out in NY let me know.

Any other complimentary suspension mods to go with those beefy coilovers?

i hear ya on the cops sweating you for having dirt on your car. Everywhere around where i live is all developed, so the only place to really get dirty is in areas that are graded for more building! its insane! my only salvation is the rallycross events and well.... driving up to the snow on the weekends.

There is dirt out here but you really have to drive out of the way to find it. It totally sucks!

yea i have 40mm DMS coil overs on casue the 50mm were a little to costly and the $10,000 60mm, well thats out of the price range for most. I have group N top mounts to stiffen the ride and the feeling on the road. They work well in the dirt and can cross over with no problem to the street.

The idea of living in New York is summer sun and winter snow, but this year is not going to be fun. There are huge parking lots for snow time fun, but with out snow they are just big parking lots for FF's to burn out in.

I got lucky. There are these HUGE fields and basically barren mudlands about 15 minutes from my house, and it's completely isolated. I doubt anyone could even hear my loud exhaust. I drive down there every couple weekends with a few friends who like to ride ATV's, it's always a good time.

You can have some of ours. It has snowed every week since the week before xmas. It is snowing right now. I guess too much is better than none at all.

We finally got a few inches of snow yesterday here in Ohio. Of course I went to an empty parking lot and got sideways. I've been waiting on that since last winter.

yea i have big news about some stuff that might be going down in the New York area perhaps a late night event that will probally end up with dirt covering the inside of your nose...thats kinda big. I need to map out the places and what time but i already know where and how we are going to pursue some form of an activity that will be video taped. Now all i need to do is get some people who are not afraid to check the rear view for the flashing lights with the big sirens and the black and whites.
