But this time its just for street wheels.

I have an extra set of wheels laying around my house and they have the right bolt pattern but they don't have any tyres on them to tack onto my Scooby to see if anything rubs.

here is the specs

The wheels:
17x7
+42 offset

The Tyres on my current stock wheel:
215/45 R17

My car is a 2006 Subaru WRX-TR and the street tyre size I will be running is the stock size and/or 225/45 R17. Stock Suspension Set Up.

I need to know if that wheel/offset will work on the subaru with no problems in rubbing? I may also do the occasional Auto-X with these wheels when I don't have any Rally-X's to go to.

Let me know what you guys think. I appreciate it :)

if they don't fit...does anybody wanna buy some wheels? Lol

They should clear fine. The offset may be an issue....but dont take my word. I think the suggested offset for 17x7 is +50 to +53?

I actually would like to get the smart guys opinions on this as I have a set of wheels im looking at for street use. They are 17x7 with a 42 offset as well.

How will the low offset effect things?

Yeah, somebody on here will set us straight on this issue. Lol

I know there is something about scrub rating or something like that but I am not sure about how all that works.

I'm no expert but there are some very technical posts on this very issue, not sure if its kosher to link urls.. so just search google for "Offset Information Thread" and it will be the top hit.

Ideal offset for 17x7 is between +50 to +53 on a subaru
