Not confirmed officially, but appears to be true.

Colin Mcrae and his 5 year old son were apparently killed in a helicopter crash near their home today.

God's Speed Colin. You will be missed. :cry:

I was just saying a bit ago when I heard... there is no poetic justice in an end like this for a man such as Colin. Why couldn't he have been taken doing what he loved, during a racing event without his child on board. Tis a shame. Goodspeed. :(

I send my condolances to Sir Colin McRae and his Family. Thanks to this man many people are interested in our comunity. I know that I would not be interested in rally if not for watching Colin with my dad. GOD SPEED SIR! It is a shame that he couldnt have been doing what he loved when he died.......

It looks as if ther'ry going to be making memorial decals and sending the proceeds to a charity of the Familys choice. I'll be buying a couple.

Yes he will be. I found out about this on Sat. and was completely bummed. Even before I was into Subies I knew who Mcrae was. It's sad that he's gone.
