Alrighty, I have read through the forums here and have found myself quite confused.

So at the risk of asking a repeated question and sounding like a n00b, here goes :)

I have a 2006 Impreza WRX-TR. Love it, want to get into rally-x because we are finally getting some events close to where i live(Tulsa, Oklahoma).

My question is will 15 inch rally wheels fit over the brakes on the 06 wrx's?? THey are some pretty good size stock brakes, 4 piston..very nice.

I am asking for 15's because I have not seen a 16 inch rally tire in a long long time and the people who made them (Silverstone Tires) don't make them anymore.

Next question... What size rally tire should I get to put on the wheel?

The suspension is all stock and at the most will have Koni Yellows on it with STi springs if I find some.

Thanks for the help in advance. I appreciate it :)

Yes they will!! 15" rally wheels are designed to clear the stock calipers, no problem! I'd probably go for either a 195 or 205, anything larger will rob you of power and is unnecessary.

thank you man. That has been bugging me this whole time Lol

what does a 195 or 205 translate out into on rally tyre size?

fixed

Seriously though, bigger tires are cool because you gain ride height and can run over larger rocks without worrying about bending your rims, but at the same time increased ride height raises your center of gravity, which in turn increases body roll, which increases chance of rollover, not to mention having to deal with rubbing issues. So I guess what I'm getting at is if you just want to do rallyx and you have money to spend then go with stock size rally tires, but if you're going to be driving through alot of mud and/or broken up old roads then go with geolanders that barely fit in you wheel wells and get a lift kit from jackson rally.

haha thanks. But you are correct in me just using them for rallyx. The car will still be street driven.

There are very few roads where I live that you can go play on and those roads you need the stock height of a truck to drive on. Lol

Occasionally there is an area next to the dam that is a good place to go to play in some sand and mud though.
