ok so yesterday at the cal city meet we where hitting a very small and smooth jump i blew a hole in my sidewall and then with out knowing i hit the jump again with a flat:shootsself::machinegunleft: put on the spare and drove home on the way back i could hear what sounded to be something rubbing today i pull off the wheel and can see that the wheel is rubbing against the strut:angryfinger: i'm still new to all this and am wondering is this a sign of a bent strut....broken axel.....or just messed up allignment? something worse???? thanks in adavance for anyfeed back

well something is deffinatly bent, what is going to be tough without looking at it. It it could be either the strut, the steering knuckle, or the hub.

if it's a bent strut you will notice a big difference in the camber between the two sides...when mine bent from a bad landing it was right at the top of the bracket that mounts to the hub...look for flaked paint on the inside of the bend...only other thing I can think of is that the offset on your spare is wrong

well it's the passanger rear so im pretty sure it's now the steering knuckle didn't think of the hub.... what's worse is i guess i cross threaded the lug when putting on the spare and now i can't get the wheel off...luckily i have another car i can barrow for now.

yeah i noticed that at the gas station the camber was way off on that side i kind of hope that it's the strut so i can just upgrade :headbang:

Check the lateral links too in the rear, one of them may have been borked.

thanks alot chris i still have your number from the autobacs meet i took the wheel off and took a closer look everything seems to be straight strut wasn't damaged anywhere that we could see lateral links looked good looking at the tire i blew it looks like that might have been rubbing at the same spot so this might be an older problem i didn't know about i'm waiting to hear back from a friend with a suspension shop to have him look at it... we're thinking (hoping) that the alignment is just waaaay off
