So, I replaced my brakes about 3 months ago (rotors and pads), and they were fine for about a month or so. Now, I have been noticing my front two rims are getting overly dusty. I replaced them with Hawk HPS pads, and a generic rotor. I would think that it would be a locked caliper, but the dust is heavy on both sides and not just one and they started at the same time.

I also did a fluid flush when I did the job.

Any suggestoins would be great.

Hawk pads do tend to be very dusty. What you're seeing could be normal.

Are you seeing any other indications that the brakes are dragging? Unusual noises, getting very hot, car pulling, car slows down like the brakes are on when coasting, etc?

The brakes are getting very hot. And when I say they are getting dusty, I mean they are getting dusty during a 1 hour ride down the cape without using them other then getting off the highway.

Again, they first month they were fine, and then both the front started doing it at the same time.

The only other thing that I forgot to mention, is that the ABS seems to come on prematurely when on a anything other then pavement. I kind of just assumed this is because of the brakes being more aggressive than stock.

Pull off your wheels and do a visual of your pads, calipers, pistons, etc. esspecially check your ABS Wheel speed sensors, pull them out and clean the off. *Remember* the best first step is always a good visual inspection.
