Is it just me and my crappy monitor, or is the blue on black kind of hard to read?

Some people dont like it. All the other forums are based on white. i thought it was kinda bland. Right now i have the forums set to override any other templates, but if youre having a hard time seeing things, i can re-enable this feature and load some generic templates that are easier to read.
Let me know!

I like black better than white. Some forums give the user a choice in thier CP.

Yeah... having a choice is fine with me. I just wanted to make sure everything was working ok before i started loading multiple templates and allowing people to change the skins. I will get this going soon.

Take your time and make sure you only have to do it once.

ive always liked darker colorschemes with webpages, and not many of the big forums use it. Some people say its harder on the eyes, but soon you will have options to change it.
by default it will be blue and gray.

OK, so i have re-enabled the ability for uses to change the colorscheme from within their profile (click on profile at the top to edit your viewing preferences).
Now you can use the default subSilver template to view the forums. It is easier on the eyes and very bright. This should make people happy. Im sticking with the blue and black because i think it rocks, but to each their own!
I will be working to get this template up to speed with the Quick Reply, etc...

The black and blue pwns the silver. I just need to break down and buy a new monitor.

Maybe try adjusting the brightness and contrast? the background really isnt black, its a dark grey? buy.com has some sick deals on widescreen LCD's rigth now.

Brightness and Contrast are already adjusted all of the way. It's just a piece of old piece of crap CRT.
