Started Posting Before Introduction.

Whats going on Impreza people! I was invited to this forum by UP2MTNS. Im joining my first rallycross in Antioch at the end of the month. I dont know much about rally so he told me to join this forum to get all the info I needed. It was pretty random how we met.

One bright, sunny day in San Francisco, haha jk. But one day I was driving around and saw UP2MTNS impreza parked on the street. His bumper was gone and he had his name on the side windows, so I was thinking "Damn, this guy must be legit!" and I didnt think much of it until the next day. I say him come out of a gas station. Again, not thinking much beyond "thats the same car from yesterday" until I noticed a small an Antioch sticker. So I had to ask if he was going to be there on the 30th.

He told me about the driving tips topic on this forum which have been a real help.

Welcome to the forum, you should definately enjoy the Antioch event later this month. I am trying to make it there myself, but it's not up to me as I'm ownded by the government :shock: . What do ya drive? I also demand pics!!!

I drive a '05 Mazda3, its a huge step up from the '88 Nissan D21 I was driving before. Its my first 5mt, and I love her! haha. As for pictures, I only have one from the first day I got her. Its camera phone status. Ill definitely have better ones after the event.

what's funny is when Pedro asked me about Antioch, he pulled up next to me at a stop light and kind of waved me down. but before that, I saw him checking out the car/etc while I'm driving and in the back of my head, I'm like, 'OK, what does this kid want?" LOL (sorry pedro, but you do look young, haha)

of course he surprised the crap out of me when he was like, 'hey man, you going to Antioch next month?'

Welcome to the forums Pedro. It doesn't matter what you drive so long as you are out there having fun with everyone. I think one of my favorite cars out at the rallycross events we do is that AWD civic wagon that (i forget his name) the older guy drives. That guy kicks so much ass for being out there.

Anyway, thats an interesting story how you ran into Jon, i wont be at Antioch II, but if you want to see whats in store for you check out the video from the Antioch I from this year.

Yeah I saw that there was two Mazda3s on the roster for Ant 1 but I didnt see any footage of them. I was kinda hoping to see a 3 in action. I guess I have to step up and get the first footage of a Mazda3 in a rallyx on the internet. Im sure it will peak other 3 owners' interest in rallyx. I just might have to start a "Dirty3" forum. haha.

As the day approaches Im getting more and more gitty. :) I seriously cant wait!
