It's about time for me to start learning how to take care of the suspension on the Suby, and I figured I'd start with the struts. They have started to squeak a bit (no surprise really, super hot weather + lakebeds = squeak).
I've read that silicone spray works well, and that moly grease is better. Thing is I don't really know anything past that! Any and all knowlegde or advice would be appreciated.

I use a marine/heavy duty grease meant for use on suspension parts. Got it at the local auto shop for about $3. I put it on my rear strut tops as well as the strut pistons and my suspsion quieted almost completely.

I think the only place you would get "squeaky" noises out of your struts is where there is rubber...there is rubber between your spring and its mounting surfaces, (to keep things quiet). Now all the compliance bushings on your suspension pivots, and anti-roll bar/link pivots will all squeak with all the crap we throw at these cars. I would'nt use a heavy grease, just some sili spray should work just fine. Just figure the next time you go out all the dirt will just stick to it, then you clean/pressure wash it then it squeaks again!! But with regular spray/maintenance things will quiet down.
