Hey how about some DI hoodies for the up coming winter or mabey it would be cheaper to start with Beanies.

Drew, this is a fantastic suggestion. I love hoodies more than anyone (especially zip up hoodies). Its just a ton of upfront capital to get a run done. I know a few people that do silkscreening, so ill have to hit them up.

Right now though money is the biggest issue. If i did say 50 sweatshirts @ the ridiculously low price of say $30 each, thats $1500 out of my pocket.

The only way i could see getting this to work would be through pre-ordering. I can't afford to have this expensive of an item just sitting around as stock ya know?

Hes really cool about making only 3 or so for a batch, he would make no minimum for us probably. He did our UCONN off-Road ones for 25-30 bucks with print on front and back. That was only one color ink tho. Just a thought.

Alright i got the front design pretty much finalized. Its going to look something like this:

Alright persistent peeps.

I got the numbers back from the screen printing place. I figure that no one wants a lightweight hoodie right? The heavy-weight hoodies cost more, but i think will be worth the investment (since many of you guys live in colder states and its almost winter). Im all about the thicker sweatshirts anyway.

So If thats settled about the weight of the sweatshirts, then we need to come to a consensus about the Quantity of the run to do. Also i need to know how much to order of each size.

For starters this is what i have on paper. The quote the guy gave me was for 25 sweatshirts and 25 tshirts.

THE SWEATSHIRTS AND TSHIRTS ARE ALL GOING TO BE BLACK

Sweatshirts:
5 Medium
10 Large
10 XL

T-shirts:
5 Medium
10 Large

I figure the majority of people are going to be Large or XL... I need a medium because im just a little dood (although my gut is trying to be a Large). How does this sound? This order may be placed as early as next week.

Update is that artwork has been submitted for approval at the printers. Not very likely that they will be ready for DM2. They are going to be shipped to buyers anyway, so everyone will get them as soon as they come in.

I decided that i wont accept anyone's money for the sweatshirts / shirts until the production run is complete and i have seen that they turned out the way i want them. (Ill just scrounge up the funds to pay for the whole run in full) this way people will pay, and get their sweatshirts / shirts shipped the next day. I'd rather not deal with the possibility of refunds, etc if the printing guys screw up or delay our order.

STATUS UPDATE:

I switched printing companies, and am going with KingScreen.com out of Atlanta, GA. So far they are working out awesome (if i would have gone with them in the first place we'd all be browsing DI sitting in our sweatshirts...)

I got the first set of proofs back, but the DI logo was too small on the front! (LOL, gotta have that badboy big!!!)

So here's where we are at. Assuming that i get the proofs back again by mid week next week, Turn around with shipping back to CA is about 2-3 weeks. From this you can expect the goods to be in and ready to ship by November 15th!!!

Good News everyone. The screen printers were cool and didnt ding us an extra $3.50 for XXL sizes since our run had enough quantity. So you peeps that ordered XXL's wont have to pay extra. However, i will not have any leftover for sale after the "pre-orders" are filled. Don't worry though, ill order more in the near future.

So that people can figure how much they are going to spend, i think its time to release the prices.
