Does anybody know where to find enough of these for one whole side of a 2002 WRX?
Or how easy is it to fabricate something that will hold an aftermarket side skirt on?

On the side skirts, there are two "screws" I believe up front, and then 5 or 6 pins on the side. You best bet is to go to a dealership and buy them for like a buck a piece.
On the side skirt, there are little bracket that you can slide the clips in, and then push the side skirt onto your car. If the brackets are broken, you can always repair them with glue or something.

If you want your side skirts to stay on just put a couple self tapping sheetmetal screws w/ large washers thru the bottom.

The front of the sideskirt is held on pretty well. I just fabed up little aluminum brakets that attach the rear of the sideskirt to the rocker. I don't use anything in the center section, and it holds on great.
