New guy from MN

Hey guys!
New forum member here from Minneapolis, MN! where we don't need to go off road to slide!
Coming from the frozen nook of the north, were my idea of winter sports is sliding through the neighborhood sideways!
i've got a 2004 WRX in Java Black Pearl, and I'm a nut ball of an autox junkie, so all of my mods reflect my build for STX class.
i managed to haul in the season points trophies in both local series. next year i plan to expand to regional events as well!
i love watching rally, and plan to get into some rally cross soon enough, but for now my baby's a dedicated street terror.
i've manned a few rally crews in the past and it's always been a blast.
There's nothing quite like being up at 1:30 am when your car comes flying into a "Gas and Go" stop with a mangled strut and torn up tire screaming "GET THE TOOLS! HURRY! WE HAVE 8 MIN!!" That was arguably one of the more panicked 8 minutes of my life. :)

Autocross is super fun... I think everyone should get out there and try it at least once. Theres literally zero risk to your car being damaged (except for maybe some cone rub) and it really tests your knowledge of car control. I am by no means any good at it, but its super fun even if you get the slowest time of the day.

Same goes for Rallycross. You will find that it has an additional challenging element... no traction! or very little for that matter, but in anycase you'd be a pro at it already, driving in the snow everyday during winter just to get around. Just dont forget to get a set of mudflaps to keep those rocks off the paint!
